Quail Conservation Effort
Beginning in 2012 near the intersection of Gonzales, Karnes, and Wilson Counties, 23,000 acres were selected to be a part of a strategic quail management plan and formed what is now called the POST Quail Working Group.
Hunting and fishing, on land, on the water, or in the air. Native whitetail, elk, quail, dove, turkey, waterfowl, and trophy bass are abundant.
Major natural resources: Elm creek watershed/Story Lake, Carrizo aquifer, Eagle Ford Shale.
